We supplied a complete turnkey silo and tank installation to a loyal customer in Belgium. Here’s what the customer had to say:
“The photo shows part of our new factory. This state-of-the-art facility produces concrete paving blocks of the highest quality. The yellow silos contain various types of cement and fillers required to produce high-quality concrete for this factory. Beneath these cement silos are three 120 m³ tanks for storing rainwater and two smaller 48 m³ tanks, each fitted with an agitator, for storing wastewater from the washing facilities at this new factory. In this way, we create a sustainable water cycle with no waste streams. Rainwater from the roofs is collected in the three buffer tanks and is used to produce concrete and to supply the washing facilities. The wastewater from the washing facilities undergoes preliminary separation to remove coarse sand particles, and is then stored in the smaller buffer tanks fitted with agitators to prevent sedimentation. If our existing water treatment plant has sufficient spare capacity, the wastewater is pumped on to our water treatment plant, and we will reuse this water to produce concrete and supply the washing facilities, thus closing the loop.”
