A glass-fibre-reinforced salt silo offers ideal product flow thanks to its seamless construction and extremely smooth walls. Composite material is ideally suited to the storage of salt due to its chemical resistance. Due to the high thermal insulation value the silos are also barely susceptible to condensation so that the salt does not harden.
Salt silos

The M.I.P. salt silo comes as standard with a flanged top-fill pipe, a PVC vent pipe and a manually operated valve at man-height for loading the gritting lorry. Our silos can be fitted with galvanised drive-through structures for lorries, cage ladders, walkway gratings and safety platforms.
Optionally, we can also install related products such as manholes, filter and weighing systems, and augers.
