M.I.P. has replaced three 80m³ silos with a diameter of 3,000mm for the company Cooperstandard in Normandy (France). The silos are suitable for the storage of carbon black.
Cooperstandard is a company specialising in the production of elastomers for the automotive sector. Carbon black is a product highly susceptible to condensation, so composite is the ideal material for storing this substance.
Cooperstandard’s old silos were also made of composite and had served their purpose for 40 years. The new silos were installed by M.I.P. onto an existing structure, which required bespoke work. However, M.I.P. successfully completed the project.
