M.I.P. was commissioned by AWILA Anlagenbau GmbH to supply four silos for the storage of grain and semolina and to install them at the end customer’s premises, Raiffeisenagrar Ankum.
The silos have a diameter of 3.5 m and a total height of 18.85 m. They were manufactured with a vertical GRP frame so that they could be mounted onto the steel frame supplied by the customer.
As the silos are fed via a conveyor belt, the challenge was to support the heavy load (four points of 1.2 tonnes) via the silos. The conveyor belt was also integrated into the access point to the silos. In addition, a second operating platform was provided at the level of the hoppers.
M.I.P. ensured the end customer’s complete satisfaction and delivered and installed the silos on time.
