New projects for the (petro)chemical sector
As confidence in the (petro-)chemical sector is growing, particularly with regard to the use of tanks and silos made from composite materials (GRP), the plant in Moerdijk is operating at full capacity in terms of orders for large-diameter tanks. There are currently 4 tanks with a capacity of 1,600 m³ and a diameter of 9 metres, as well as 4 tanks with a capacity of 3,079 m³ and a diameter of 14 metres, standing outdoors.
The tanks, with a capacity of 1,600 m³ and a diameter of 9 metres, are intended for a customer in Dodewaard (NL).
The tanks are to be used to store various (oily) feed and food products at a maximum design temperature of 90 °C. To maintain this temperature inside the tanks, they were insulated during production using a higher-quality insulation material than the standard glass wool and rock wool.
The tanks, with a capacity of 3,079 m³ and a diameter of 14 metres, are intended for a customer in Ghent (B) and are the largest tanks we have manufactured in recent years through the Verwater Composites joint venture at the M.I.P.
These tanks will be used to store a wide range of products, including wastewater from palm oil mills, used cooking oils, edible oils, fatty acids, etc.
These tanks are also insulated design.
