C-Concrete, part of the Cordeel Group, specialises in the production of precast concrete elements and reinforcing steel. M.I.P. recently supplied a 75m³ silo to the Temse site for the storage of Type II additives. Naturally, the silo was fitted with all the necessary accessories, such as a dust filter and a combined positive and negative pressure valve.
As the customer required a turnkey solution, a partnership was established with one of M.I.P.’s partners, Bulk Processing Systems (BPS), for the screw conveyor and silo weighing systems. The advanced extraction and conveyor screws supplied by BPS, which meet the strictest industry standards, guarantee the customer efficient production. The screw conveyor had to be connected to an existing installation. It was therefore essential to take precise measurements in advance so that everything could subsequently be drawn up in SolidWorks. The load cells and associated readout unit supplied by BPS ensure perfect silo weighing.
The red topcoat ensures it blends in well with the existing buildings. The silo was placed on a trestle structure so as not to disrupt site traffic.
