Composite (glass-fibre-reinforced plastic) inherently has better thermal properties than steel or stainless steel. M.I.P. uses a 50mm hard-pressed insulation board which has a much higher Rc value (33%) than traditional glass wool and rock wool of the same thickness used with steel or stainless steel.
