An employee speaks out

Why is it such a pleasure to work at M.I.P.? We asked one of our longest-serving colleagues: Jan Willems.

Jan began his career as an electrician in the construction industry until his father-in-law asked him to come and work at M.I.P. in 1989.

He started out as a labourer on the hoods and bases, then moved to the winding bench, with brief stints in the welding department. He even spent a short time as a lorry driver at M.I.P. He subsequently became foreman of the winding department and, thanks to his many years of experience, has always shared responsibility for training the other foremen.

In 2017, he was finally asked by the management to take on the role of Production Team Leader at M.I.P.’s new factory in Moerdijk, where he still works today.

“Thanks to the knowledge I’ve gained at M.I.P., they won’t let me leave now.”

Thank you for all your years of loyal service so far, Jan! Here’s hoping there are many more to come.
