4 tanks, each with a capacity of 1,600 m³

M.I.P. MegaSolutions is currently manufacturing four composite tanks, each with a capacity of 1,600 m³, a diameter of Ø 9 metres and a height of 27 metres, for a Dutch client. Once installed, the tanks will be used to store various (oily) feed and food products at a design temperature of 90°C.

It is of great benefit to the client that the tanks are insulated at the M.I.P. factory using high-quality, pressure-resistant insulation panels. Composite (glass-fibre-reinforced plastic) inherently has better thermal properties than steel and stainless steel, but the addition of high-quality, pressure-resistant insulation – as opposed to glass wool and rock wool – ensures an even better thermal envelope.
