M.I.P.’s feed silos are suitable for the storage of animal feed, such as compound feed, wheat, barley, maize, soya and other dry products. Our animal feed silos are manufactured in a single piece. A flanged top filling opening ensures even filling, whilst the smooth inner wall ensures optimal discharge of both pelletised and powdered products.
Animal feed silos
M.I.P.’s silos are available in a wide range of designs, making them ideal for the storage of animal feed. Examples include silos with a slide chute, with an external outlet, for feeding systems or mounted on a trestle frame. M.I.P. can also supply all silo-related components, such as augers, pipework and measurement and control systems. Bespoke solutions are available for products that are difficult to handle.
Standard specification
A feed silo used for livestock in agriculture comes as standard with:
- Top-feed system with a galvanised flanged feed pipe of Ø 102 mm
- Semi-transparent
- Diameter 1900/2200/2500/2800/3000/3500 mm
- Capacity 4 to 100 m³
- Bulk density 700 kg/m³
- Galvanised support on legs
- PVC vent pipe Ø 160 mm
- Skirt support to ensure there are no longer any bolts in the silo
