Mission

M.I.P. is the leading specialist in solutions for the safe, sustainable and efficient bulk storage of complex liquids and moisture-sensitive solids.

As an independent and financially sound family-run business, we aim to help customers make the right choices for the storage of their valuable materials. We have the in-house expertise to select the right tank and silo materials, and understand the needs of your sector to advise on accessories such as those for filling, venting, emptying and cleaning. Naturally, we are familiar with the relevant regulations concerning the environment, chemical products and explosion safety.

We deliver bespoke solutions, as well as complete turnkey projects for our customers, from planning and design through to final handover and commissioning.

We strive for continuous improvement within our company and aim to be a pleasant and reliable business partner for our clients. In doing so, M.I.P. prioritises the well-being of its employees, the public and the environment.

Vision

Our vision is represented by the M.I.P. rocket. This is a concise summary of more than a year’s deliberations with customers, suppliers and staff regarding the vision, strategy and roadmap (plan for the coming years) of the M.I.P. Group.

Our aim is to become the European market leader within seven years in the ever-growing market for composite tanks and silos – the most sustainable storage systems.

M.I.P. is constantly working to improve its composites; examples include:

Styrene-free resins
Bio-based resins
PED resins
Composite printing

Sustainable products

Over the next 10 years, M.I.P. intends to continue focusing on highly sustainable tanks and silos using advanced composite technologies. M.I.P.’s current composite tanks and silos have a guaranteed service life of at least 23 years. In our roadmap, we are aiming for the following objectives:

CSR performance ladder certification
CO₂ Performance Ladder certification
Achieving ISO 14001 certification
LCA certification
Cradle to Cradle certification
Recycling of composites

Sustainable production

In 2020, M.I.P. is building a new energy-neutral factory in Moerdijk, specifically designed for the production of large tanks and silos. This factory will be capable of producing silos and tanks with diameters ranging from 3 to 14 metres and capacities of up to 3,000 m³.

The factory will be built to be energy-neutral, featuring solar panels, a large heat recovery system and underfloor heating, powered by heat pumps that will draw their heat from the ground.

The moulds and composite laminates are heated using infrared technology, which is currently one of the most advanced and sustainable methods of heating.

With its new factory in Moerdijk, M.I.P. has the largest capacity in terms of both quantity and volume in the whole of Europe and is able to complete large and complex projects on a turnkey basis within a relatively short timeframe.

Our rocket is powered by two strong engines:

Keeping a close eye on advanced techniques and developments and applying them wherever possible;
However, the most important driving force is, and always will be, our team of enthusiastic staff who are keen to contribute ideas on the necessary adjustments to our organisation.
