For Xycle, M.I.P. proudly supplied six double-walled composite storage tanks for the safe storage of pyrolysis oil. With this project, we contribute to an innovative process that transforms hard-to-recycle plastic waste into high-quality circular raw materials for the petrochemical industry.
Composite is the ideal material for storing pyrolysis oil. It offers outstanding corrosion resistance, requires minimal maintenance and has a significantly lower carbon footprint over its lifetime compared to many traditional materials. This makes it a sustainable and future-proof storage solution that perfectly aligns with the ambitions of both Xycle and M.I.P.
In addition to manufacturing the tanks, M.I.P. was responsible for the engineering, complete steel support structure, internal composite floating roofs and on-site installation. The result is a reliable storage solution that meets the high standards of an innovative recycling facility.
