Because confidence in the (petro)chemical sector is growing in the use of composite (GRP) tanks and silos, the factory in Moerdijk (NL) is running at full speed in terms of orders for large diameter tanks. For example, there are currently 4 tanks of 1,600m³ and 9 meters in diameter outside, and 4 tanks of 3,079m³ and 14 meters in diameter.
New projects for the petrochemical industry
The tanks of 1,600m³ and 9 meters in diameter are intended for a customer in Dodewaard (NL).
Various (greasy) feed and food products will be stored in the tanks with a maximum design temperature of 90ºC. In order to maintain this temperature in the tanks, they are already insulated during production with a higher quality insulation than the usual glass and rock wool.
The tanks of 3,079m³ and 14 meters in diameter intended for a customer in Ghent (B) are the largest tanks in recent history that we have produced through the Verwater Composites joint venture in the M.I.P. factory.
A range of products will be stored in these tanks, such as Palm Oil Mill Effluent, Used Cooking Oils, Edible Oils, Fatty Acids, etc.
These tanks will also be insulated.
