Storage of circular raw materials, biodiesel and waste management

M.I.P.’s second feed segment focuses on the storage of circular feedstocks, biodiesel and waste management, with a specific emphasis on Used Cooking Oils (UCOs), animal waste streams and biodiesel processing. These materials often have a high acidity, which can lead to accelerated corrosion of traditional storage materials, such as stainless steel and especially carbon steel. This poses a significant challenge for companies involved in the storage and processing of such products.

Corrosion resistant solution

Our storage tanks, made from composite materials, offer a robust and fully corrosion-resistant solution to this challenge. Unlike traditional materials, our composite tanks are resistant to the damaging effects of high acidity, resulting in a significantly extended service life and lower maintenance costs.

High insulation value

In addition, our tanks are equipped with high-quality insulation and bottom spirals. The insulation value of our composite tanks is significantly higher than that of traditional tanks, resulting in significant energy cost savings for our customers and a more constant temperature of the stored products.

Equipped with a walkable roof

Another important advantage is that our tanks are equipped with a walk-on roof as standard. For added safety and convenience, a flat walkway of 800 mm wide can be installed, eliminating the need for non-slip galvanised steel platforms. This not only contributes to a lower maintenance requirement, but also provides a safer and more comfortable way to enter the tanks.

In addition, our waterproof kick edge ensures that dirty rainwater never runs over the tanks. Rainwater is efficiently drained via an integrated drainage system, with a minimum of two drainage points per tank. This design further contributes to the durability and ease of maintenance of our storage tanks.
