Through our Joint Venture Verwater Composites we sold to GTS in Ghent four 22 meter high tanks with a volume of 3000 m3 and a diameter of 14 metres.
GTS opted for composite as a material in view of the favorable price-quality ratio and the good insulating properties compared to steel and stainless steel.
The tanks are designed for the storage of various oil products. By providing the tanks with high-quality insulation (instead of glass or rock wool) in combination with a heating coil, the products remain at the desired temperature in the tank. The tanks will be operational at the customer by the end of this year.
More and more customers in the petrochemical industry are discovering the advantages of composite.
