At the moment, M.I.P. MegaSolutions is busy producing 4 composite tanks of 1,600m³ each with a diameter of Ø 9 meters and a height of 27 meters for a Dutch customer. After installation, various (greasy) Feed and Food products are stored in the tanks with a design temperature of 90ºC.
It is very interesting for the customer that the tanks are already in the M.I.P. factory and that they are insulated with a high-quality pressure-resistant insulation board. Composite (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) in itself already has better thermal properties than steel and stainless steel, but with the addition of pressure-resistant high-quality insulation compared to glass and rock wool, this provides an even better thermal shell.
