01/2012  We wish you a happy and successful 2012!

On these first days of the new year we would like to thank your for your confidence and the pleasant contacts.

M.I.P. had a great year in 2011 in which we were able to gain strong growth in the industry branch. We engaged project leaders and some 3D designers to support this trend. Beside the investment in human resources a lot of attention was paid to the further technology of our winding machines. The outdoor storage capacity has also been significantly enlarged with additional storage space for finished products and a new parking place for the staff’s cars. 

What is 2012 bringing? We start right away with the building of two new halls: One for the finishing of industry silos and tanks, and the second for the production of the large diameters up to 6m. A lot of attention will be paid to quality and delivery reliability.

We are looking forward to being at your service again and wish you a good start of 2012!

09/2011 successful M.I.P. party

M.I.P. can look back on a very successful company party!

With this party the management wanted to thank the employees for their efforts over the past year!

In the morning there was a competition (this included archery, live table football and stone throwing) between several teams. During the games words like “support”, “team spirit” and “fun” were often pronounced.

In the afternoon a boat took the whole crew on a tour on the canal that is in front of the factory. A BBQ then was provided to feed the hungry.

M.I.P. is already looking forward to the next company party!

 

09/2011 Expansion M.I.P.

To meet the constant growth of the company M.I.P. are building a new production hall which will have a vast parking area for the employees and the visitors. The new hall and the parking facility will be ready by the end of 2011. 

 

11/2010 M.I.P. produces its first  5 meter tank

In November 2010 M.I.P. produced a 5 meter tank for the first time. The 200 m³  tank was ordered by Calmag BV in Veendam (Netherlands) to increase their production capacity for calcium chloride.

In view of the size of the tank and also because M.I.P. is located right beside the Dessel-Schoten canal, the transportation of the tank was organised by boat for the first time.

 

 

01/2010 M.I.P. invests in a new lorry with hydraulic extendable 43-tonne crane.

To satisfy all our customers’ delivery requirements, M.I.P. has invested in a brand new DAF CF85 Spacecab lorry with an extendable lifting crane. This will enable M.I.P. to transport, deliver and install it’s largest tanks and silos (up to 20 meters in length, with a diameter of 4 meters). The trailer can be extended up to 18 meters and is equipped with a Bluetooth remote control for adjusting the rear wheels, so that it can reach difficult locations. By using the 43-tonne crane with its hydraulic arm with an ability to extend 8 times its length and its range of 21,4 meters, the tanks and silos can be unloaded even at locations, where access is difficult.

 

     
     

12/2009 M.I.P. produces largest silo in its history

2009 was an important year for M.I.P.. The rejuvenation of the management team became definite and that undeniably leads to a new dynamic. This year our capacity was significantly increased by the construction of a new production hall, what has resulted in the realization of the largest silo in our history: 32 metres high, 4 meters wide, designed for the storage of fly ash.

We also invested in our company presentation and in our sales team. Our corporate communication has been revitalised with a new logo, a new house style, attractive brochures and a contemporary website, www.mip-nv.com. Our sales team has been strengthened with two additional account managers, for Wallonia and for the German industry. M.I.P. wants to remain focused on the international market. Consequently we have participated in fairs in Poland, Germany and Holland, where our products are very successful. In Belgium, we have initiated the online sales of fuel tanks via www.mip-tankshop.be.

All these innovations and investments will help us stay focussed on quality and remain the reliable partner for the storage of liquids and solids.

 


 

06/2009 M.I.P. overhauls its entire corporate style

In recent years, M.I.P. has experienced considerable changes. The devastating fire in 2006 marked the start of an in-depth innovation. M.I.P. built two new production halls and renewed its machinery. As a result, it can respond to customers’ expectations even faster and more flexibly. Next to this, the introduction of the Briljant ERP package has brought about an ICT revolution. Today M.I.P. is one of the most innovative companies in Flanders. The two awards that M.I.P. received last year were proof of this: the 2008 Excellent Company 2008 Award of the Province of Antwerp and Company of the year by VOKA (Chamber of Commerce) Kempen.

Moreover, M.I.P. recently bade farewell to its co-founders, Marc Mertens and Ronny Mangelschots, while Maikel Elst and Pascalle Elst, the son and daughter of René Elst, came on board in 2006 as members of the management team. Today M.I.P. is ready for a promising future with a new, young management team at the helm.

11/2008 M.I.P. NV winner of the 2008 Excellent Company Award of the Province of Antwerp

On 5 November 2008, M.I.P. accepted the 2008 Excellent Company Award at the Provinciehuis in Antwerp. M.I.P.’s competitors were Elft from Antwerp and Bulo from Mechelen. This award is an initiative of the three Chambers of Commerce (Antwerp, Mechelen and Kempen) in the province.
M.I.P. was given the award, among others, for its growth during the past three years as regards turnover, personnel and added value. In May 2008 M.I.P. was awarded the 2008 Entrepreneurship Prize of Voka Kempen. M.I.P. is proud to add this new award to its achievements!

 

05/2008: M.I.P. NV wins the 2008 Entrepreneurship Prize

The Kempen Chamber of Commerce has awarded M.I.P the title of 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year.

On 16 May, this award was presented to M.I.P. N.V. during VOKA’s annual dinner. The prize is an initiative of the Kempen Chamber to reward and encourage companies that contribute social-economic welfare in the region. The Chamber uses several award criteria, which all tie in with the VOKA transformation formula: E=ti². (talent, innovation and international entrepreneurship). The Jury paid attention to the following in order to select the winner of the 2008 Entrepreneurship Prize:

- Was there a positive evolution of employment in the company in the past three years?
- Did the company make a marked effort as regards the innovation of industrial output and/or production methods?
- Did turnover increase as a result of export activities during the past three years?
- Did the company penetrate new markets?
- Which methods did the company use for the development and follow-up of all operational activities?
- Which efforts did it make as regards R&D, innovation, export, energy-savings, etc.

According to VOKA, M.I.P. NV had excellent scores for all of the criteria.

M.I.P. N.V. is quite honoured to receive this award. After the 2006 fire, this award is a great reward, as well as being an encouragement to continue down this new road.
